Separation with Afterburners

The industry-leading flow-pressure footprint of the Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 RSLC System allows LC users to exploit the full potential of UHPLC and HPLC applications.
The system is capable of operating at pressures up to 1034 bar (15,000 psi) at flow rates of 5 mL/min, column temperatures up to 110 °C and a maximum data collection rate of 200 Hz.
However, do these specifications actually provide the user with true value?
The UltiMate 3000 RSLC System provides outstanding UHPLC performance even close to its specification limits, as the following unique example clearly proves.
We ran our benchmark gradient application (9 Alkylphenones and Uracil) at a flow rate of 3.7 mL/min at 100 °C on a 30 x 2.1 mm UHPLC column with 1.8 µm particles. The backpressure reached 870 bar (12,620 psi).

Extraordinary UHPLC Performance – Overlay of 30 consecutive injections of alkylphenones and uracil separated at 3.7 mL/min at 100 °C at 870 bar on a 30 x 2.1 mm, 1.8 µm UHPLC column. Gradient: 0-7.26 s 40-95% ACN, 7.26-8.64 s 95% ACN, 8.64 s min 95-40% ACN,8.64-14.4 s 40% ACN; Injection Volume: 1 µL

All 10 analytes were separated within 11 seconds showing overwhelming retention time and peak area precision.

Operating close to the limits of UHPLC the powerful UltiMate 3000 RSLC System even enables 3D UV data acquisition up to 200 Hz in such short run times of 11 seconds – supported by the ultrafast data processing capabilities of Chromeleon 7.

Chromeleon 7 provides intelligent functionality with Operational Simplicity™ to give you full UHPLC compatibility with ease.
